Nilanjan has been practicing, performing, teaching and streaming classical music on line and offline to as good as 30 students for past 7 years.
For beginners I start from scratch, that is from why to learn classical music and forms of basic scales/notes (SHUDHHA and VIKRIT / MAJOR and MINOR) and then the actual RAGAS and also teach the usage of the same in modern and FILM music in all languages.

The audience has to listen and interact and clear all their doubts and queries related to anything on music. They can perform as well to get it evaluated and also ask me to perform certain music to make them understand the technicalities and integrities behind it.

Nilanjan Sen, an upcoming Ghazal and light classical singer; hailing from the land of red soil Birbhum, Santiniketan. His childhood was surrounded by the tranquil and musical atmosphere of the ashram at Santiniketan founded by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Along with all other education, his musical journey started with many renowned singers and gurus at the ashrama. “Talim” was mainly in Hindustani classical music and Tagore’s Songs. Later to pursue higher studies in the foreign language (Chinese), Nilanjan went to JNU NEW DELHI, however, what his ears were always searching for was more knowledge in MUSIC. By God’s grace, there also he could found many like-minded musical souls as a friend-cum- Guru. Here is when the first time he got exposed to the divine soul of Ghazal sangeet. Mate many students of Urdu discipline and from them, he received adequate knowledge to understand the meaning of traditional ghazals and their pronunciations. Day and night the evergreen ghazals of Jagjit Sing, Mehedi Hasan, Gulam Ali jee, Hariharan jee and many others kept his hostel room warm and cozy and noisy to the neighbors.
At present, due to occupational commitment, Nilanjan is based in Bangalore and continuing his musical journey with quite a few Ghazal shows at eminent Places including fine-dine restaurants and star hotels with association with Guitar Club, KAHAN PRODUCTION, and many known event organizers. He also runs a home studio for self and commercial music production.
