Tiger Cave

One of the most iconic landmark attractions of Mahabalipuram. The rock carvings explain the severe austerities performed by Arjun (one of the Pandavas) in order to achieve Shiva's weapon.

Shore Temple

The Tiger Cave is a rock-cut Hindu temple complex located in the hamlet of Saluvankuppam near Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, India. It gets its name from the carvings of tiger heads on the mouth of a cave which forms a part of the complex.

Varadharaja Perumal Temple

This 8th-century structural temple is made of granite and served as a beacon for seafarers of the time.
